The purpose of this position is managing the media supply chain for HBO MAX LATAM, coordinating with content strategy teams, content processing teams, HBO MAX product teams and technology teams, both local as well as global. This position is responsible for defining the operational paradigm of the media supply chain for HBO MAX LATAM in order to achieve product’s required KPIs with operational efficiency.
-Oversight over the regional HBO MAX media supply chain operation with efficiency and speed to stream goals. In order to achieve this, the candidate has to coordinate with teams for every single piece of content, making sure each team is delivering their part in accordance with the process’ dependencies, flagging whenever this does not happen and following up to solve the issue that may have arisen because of this.
-Defining operational processes within the HBO MAX media supply chain. As a result of the analysis of current processes, bottlenecks, feedback from stake holders and his/her own team, recurring errors, etc, the candidate will define modifications to current processes, design new processes, create requirements for new features in existing systems, request new system’s integrations and work with technology and product teams to implement them. Candidate leads this task and can delegate deep analysis to the team’s analysists
-Analysing failure points, defining support escalation mechanisms and implementing them with other areas (regional and global).
-Gathering data across the HBO MAX media supply chain and defining processes to feed live or close-to-live KPIs.
- Connect with cross-functional teams on milestones like system integrations, launch of new features, premieres, etc to ensure the goal will be achieved from the content perspective.
-Whenever there’s a milestone that requires doing something different from BAU across multiple teams, such as Launch, a new integration of systems, a new system functionality, a content strategy change, etc, the candidate will coordinate with other teams like MOC, Dub & Sub, Digital Ops, Content Strategy, etc, so as to warrantee that anything related to content and the particular milestone is properly executed.
-Experience in managing a team of analysts for at least 2 years
-Experience in leading cross functional projects
-Broad knowledge and experience in process analysis and system integrations on media companies
-Ability to build relationships and communicate with global contacts in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
-Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Systems, Telecommunications, Industrial) or Media related careers (Postproduction, Media Management, etc)
-Fluent in speaking, writing and reading English. Advanced level or higher (more than 70% of interactions are with English speaking stake holders)
-Experience in interacting with product teams of direct to consumer applications
-Ability to work and create trusting relationships with extended cross-cultural multi-country team
